Remembrance Week in Forest School

Date: 11th Nov 2021 @ 4:02pm

The children made beautiful tributes to all those who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe this week in FOrest School.

EYFS  children made beautiful poppy "leaf bouquets" and used them to create a stunning wreath which they laid on the 11th.

Year One made some amazing poppy artwork in small groups, using leaves and sticks. They also had a lovely time creating poppy bouquets to take home.

In Years 2, 3 and 5, the children made absolutely stunning "big picture" works of art. The classes paid special tribute by using flour to leave their handprints reaching towards the poppy.

All of the children showed a huge amount of respect for those who lost their lives, were injured and also those who continue to put themselves at risk in order to protect our freedom. It has been a very moving experience.
