Science Day - Year 4

This half term, we have been learning all about electricity. 

We began by looking at different electrical items and discussing whether they were mains powered, battery powered or both. 
We have learnt about a very famous individual, Thomas Edison! 

This week, we built our own circuits! We were given bulbs, bulb holders, wires with crocodile clips, batteries and battery holders. We very much enjoyed this investigation! 
Afterwards, we learnt about switches and their purpose. We went on a switch hunt around school to find how many different switches we could find. We presented our findings in a bar chart. 

We are looking forward to continuing our electricity topic next half term!
