About Us
Whether you are an existing parent of the school, a prospective parent or a visitor to our website, we warmly welcome you and thank you for your interest in Hoole CE Primary School.
We are a two form entry school with approximately 400 children aged 4-11, serving the community of Hoole on the outskirts of Chester. We work very much at the heart of our community and have close working relationships with our parents and families. Parents and Carers are regularly informed about their children’s progress and achievements, and are encouraged to meet with staff to discuss their child’s progress and celebrate their achievements.
If you would like to tour our school, please contact the School Office to arrange a convenient time. We will be happy to show you around! We have visitors spaces in our car park situated in front of the school building.
We have fourteen classes at Hoole. Our school is well resourced with computers (with filtered access to the internet), interactive whiteboards, vibrant work areas and well-stocked libraries, offering a wide range of reading material and a quiet place for study and research. We have large practical workspaces outside the classrooms which are used for a range of lessons and activities including art, design and technology, ICT and group teaching. We have three playgrounds (including separate infant and junior adventure playgrounds), a woodland area, a vegetable patch and class-sized greenhouse, a Peace Garden, an all-weather sports surface and two grassed playing fields.
We have our own school kitchen with nutritious and tasty hot meals provided by our Catering Team. The school hall is used for PE, performances, assemblies and as a dining area during school hours. The school hall also hosts HETTY before and after school clubs.
We use School Comms to send school newsletters, SMS text messages, invitations and regular updates via email and have recently updated our website to offer even more access to school information.
We are very active on social media having a Twitter account, Instagram account and a Facebook page which are used to provide instant updates, document exciting moments of our day and celebrate achievements!
Through close links with HETTY and a wide range of extended services, we support our families with preschool, before and after school provision, holiday provision, and signpost additional support services.
Our priority is to offer our children a learning experience which makes the most of every talent, encourages ambition, allows every individual in our school family to flourish and enjoy life in all its fullness.
