Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)

We deliver P.S.H.E lessons using the SCARF programme and My Happy Mind.

SCARF stands for Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship. The programme has been developed by Coram Life Education & SCARF, the UK's leading charity provider of PSHE and wellbeing education in primary schools.

Our PSHE Policy and Relationships, Sex and Health Education Policy can be found here.
If you have any questions or require any additional information, please contact your child’s class teacher or our school PSHE leader, Miss McDonald.

In addition to this, we use resources from Young Enterprise to enhance children's financial education.

Our Financial Education Vision is

To be a recognised centre of excellence in Financial Education, preparing our pupils to be financially competent as responsible citizens in a rapidly changing world. Our role as educators is to ensure children have a secure understanding of how effective management of finances can impact their future lives. A robust financial education will enable our pupils to let their light shine as it will enable them to be thankful individuals for the opportunities available to them and responsible citizens with the resources they have as well as being motivated to use what they have wisely. As part of our curriculum, we aim to equip children with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will empower them to make informed choices in the future.

The route map below outlines what our children cover each year.
Information regarding the SCARF programme curriculum for each year group is included below. You will see that themes develop over time so that children are well prepared for life beyond primary school. Additional information is available at www.coramlifeeducation.org.uk/family-scarf.
