One of our greatest blessings is the strength of the flourishing relationship between All Saints and our school family.

It is important to reflect on and celebrate the many ways in which we have work together to enrich the lives of children and their families.

Strong relationships between church leaders, parishioners and school staff mean that opportunities to collaborate and grow together are maximised. Mrs Flanders, Headteacher, is the Deputy Safeguarding Lead for All Saints and works alongside church leaders and the PCC to promote a robust and rigorous safeguarding culture.

In addition to weekly worship with Gemma Gaudion (Children & Families Outreach Worker),

Reverend Craig Gaudion and Sam Johnson, Youth Worker, we have welcomed church leaders in to support us in events such as our annual Remembrance Service in school, where members of the All Saints congregation have also been welcomed to join us.

We regularly host the Little Lights pre-school group to enjoy sessions in our Forest School with their parents and carers. During these sessions, Mrs Jones, our qualified Forest School lead, led a series of engaging activities in our wonderful outdoor environment.

The Beacons after school club, run weekly by Gemma and Sam in school, has been a

great success with the number of children attending increasing over the year. Pupils who attend this club are always so proud to show what they have made or explain what they have learnt.

We are collaborating with All Saints on a new initiative to offer a safe space for older pre-teenage

children who are beginning to navigate the world of secondary school.

At the end of the last academic year, we sent thanks to our church family for their kindness in buying a book for our Year six pupils to help them with the transition to high school. This gesture was greatly appreciated by the children and their families.

We have celebrated Harvest and Easter at All Saints, with pupils singing their hearts out in the beautiful surroundings of the church, which has also hosted our learning showcase events with children presenting their learning to their families.

One of our Foundation Governors takes responsibility for displaying children’s samples of children’s work in church for everyone to enjoy. This brings our weekly school report included in the church newsletter to life for our church family as they can see what we have been doing, as well as reading about it!

Children are supported by a dedicated team of volunteers from All Saints Church. Our Reading Champions from All Saints do a fantastic job of encouraging readers, enabling them to improve their reading fluency and develop a more positive attitude towards reading.

Reverend Craig has supported the wellbeing of staff by leading reflection sessions at the start of every INSET day. This is much appreciated by staff who value this ongoing opportunity for spiritual reflection and to pause for thought.

We thank every member of our church family for working so closely with us and for contributing to the strength and success of our school this year.  Their service to our school family is treasured and we appreciate every minute invested to support us.
