Year 5 DT: Cams

We have been working hard in Design Technology this week.

We have investigated cam wheels to see how they turn rotary motion (round and round) to reciprocating motion (up and down).

We created a prototype and then used this knowledge to make a model to advertise Annie's trip down Niagara Falls.

The children were most excited about using a hand drill, junior hack saw and glue gun!
