DT Making Barrels - will Annie the egg survive?

In English, our text is The Queen of the Falls.  In this story, the children learned about a lady who plunged down Niagara Falls in a barrel to try and strike it rich.

'Did she survive?' I hear you ask.  We decided to test this out for ourselves! 

We made our own barrels, strengthening them with triangles. We placed Annie the egg inside and dropped it from our own Niagara Falls!
