Music

Music is an extremely important part of the curriculum at Hoole and all the children have an opportunity to take part in a wide range of musical activities. As well as music in class lessons, assemblies and church services, children are involved in special events, for example the Christmas nativity, school concerts, the choir's carol performances at the PTA Christmas fairs, Music festivals such as with the Halle Orchestera at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and the Big Sing, and the Easter Festival. In addition, various clubs such as recorder and choir are provided at lunchtime or before school during the academic year.

Music for life
Opportunities to have personal music tuition is taught through Music for Life, which is an innovative, not for profit organisation set up to support schools and parents in offering opportunities for young people to learn a musical instrument successfully and to inspire them to engage with music making throughout their school life and beyond.

Teachers will visit your child at school to provide lessons during school hours at times agreed with us. This means that parents do not have to make arrangements to transport children to after school venues or make arrangements to collect their child at a special time.

If your child is interested in learning a musical instrument, please contact Music for Life on 01978 761162, visit the website www.musicforlife.org.uk or email them at admin@musicforlife.org.uk
