Parent Workshops and Information Sessions

Across the academic year, we hope to restart a programme of workshops and information sessions to help improve parents' understanding of our approach to teaching and how they may work in partnership with us to support their children.  Workshops may be about our general approach to teaching and learning, while others will offer an insight into specific curriculum subjects or year group learning.  We aim to help parents understand the rationale for our approach, while also offering practical advice for ways they can support their children at home.

We will contact parents via email with instructions of how to book on to upcoming workshops. If you are interested in a workshop but cannot make the date, we will upload the documents and presentations below.

Examples of workshops we have run are as follows:

  • Miss Sprowson and Specialist Dyslexia Teacher Mrs Poulten ran a parent course on Dyslexia. The course ran for 6 weeks and covered all aspects of what dyslexia is and strategies of how you can support your child at home.
  • Early Years workshops
  • English subject workshops

We have had some brilliant parent feedback already - "Thank you for inviting me to come along. I think that the sessions are really going to help us to support our child at home as he goes through school".

As this was the first workshop to take place we invited a small number of parents in line with social distancing measures. If you are interested in attending a dyslexia course please contact Miss Sprowson via the School office or by sending her an email at

If you would any further information on a workshop, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
