Year 5 English- creating film trailers

Today in English, we looked at an important part of our class text 'Arthur and the Golden Rope' where the unlikely hero captured the sound of a cat's footfall - an important ingredient needed in order to defeat Fenrir.
The children created a storyboard using pictures from the book and then wrote sentences to accompany each picture. They were challenged to link the pictures using fronted adverbials, as well as including subordinate clauses and carefully selected vocabulary.
Once their storyboard was complete, out came the iPads and the children used their storyboard to create some INCREDIBLE film trailers. Click on the link below and have a look for yourself!
